March always feels like a little breath of fresh air. The days are getting a bit longer now that we are past daylight savings and the energy around town is picking up again.  It’s the perfect time to gather with friends over a great glass of wine.

We’ve refreshed the wine pours on our menu with some fun new selections that we’re really excited about. Whether you want to try our new fabulous bubble, Cap Fizz, or an interesting new varietal such as a Rioja Blanc (Bhilar) or a Nerello Mascalese (Calabretta).  Discovering these new varietals or revisiting a favorite wine, we think you’ll enjoy exploring what’s in the glass this month.

As always, thank you for being part of The Lark community. We love seeing familiar faces, meeting new ones, and sharing great wine and conversation with all of you.

Featured wine of the month-

8 Years in the Desert-

This wine has a fun back story!  It all started in 2008, when Dave Phinney sold The Prisoner brand. By doing so, he entered an 8-year non-compete where he could not produce wines. In that 8-year exile, Dave wrote a book and dreamed of what his next wine would be.  8 Years in the Desert was that wine!  It’s a bold, richly layered red blend. The wine opens with deep aromas of ripe blackberry, raspberry, and dark plum, layered with hints of cocoa, espresso, and warm baking spice. On the palate it’s plush and powerful, with velvety tannins and concentrated dark fruit balanced by subtle notes of vanilla and toasted oak. The finish is long, smooth, and decadent—making it a perfect glass for those who love big, expressive California reds.  Its a cool bottle with a fun back story and just a juicy delicious wine!

Cheers to a delicious month ahead,

May Graceffa
