A NEW SEASON TO SIP AT THE LARK

Hello, Fall,

There’s something about September and October at The Lark. The days are still warm, the nights are getting cooler, and we’re finding ourselves lingering a little longer over a great glass of wine, a delicious meal, and good conversation.

As we ease into fall, we’re filling the month with plenty of reasons to gather. The season brings special wine dinners, where thoughtfully paired dishes meet beautiful bottles and a little wine knowledge along the way. Oyster Night is back for an evening of fresh oysters, chilled wine, and a little indulgence. And when you’re ready to turn up the energy, DJ AB will be joining us for a lively night of music, cocktails, wine, and all-around good vibes.

We’re also looking ahead to the holiday season with our Wine Stock-Up Event. With six wine representatives and one beer representative joining us, you’ll have the opportunity to taste a fantastic lineup of wines and beers, discover new favorites, and place orders to have your holiday party needs. It’s a little tasting, a little shopping, and the perfect way to stock up before the holiday rush.

So grab your favorite people and come enjoy this beautiful in-between season with us. Warm afternoons, cooler evenings, great wine, and even better company — the fall is looking pretty good from where we’re sitting.

Featured wine of the month-

Wine of the Month: Château Le Boscq Saint-Estèphe Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel 2018

This month, we’re pouring a classic Bordeaux with plenty of character: Château Le Boscq Saint-Estèphe Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel 2018.  Get your sweat pants on and try this wine!!  Located in the northern part of Saint-Estèphe on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, Château Le Boscq is a historic estate dating back to the 18th century. The property sits on the gravelly, clay-rich soils that are characteristic of the Médoc, creating wines with both depth and structure. The estate’s vineyards are planted primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, with the blend giving the wine its signature combination of ripe fruit, savory complexity, and firm but polished tannins.

The 2018 vintage was a standout year in Bordeaux, and Le Boscq shows the richness and concentration of the vintage beautifully. In the glass, look for blackcurrant, blackberry, ripe plum, cedar, graphite, tobacco, and warm spice, followed by a long, refined finish. With a few years of bottle age, the wine is beginning to develop those lovely secondary Bordeaux characteristics while still retaining plenty of vibrant fruit.

Why we love it: It’s a wonderful expression of Saint-Estèphe — structured and sophisticated, but approachable enough to enjoy now.

Perfect with: lamb, steak, braised short ribs, roasted mushrooms, or anything rich and savory.

In closing, I'm so excited for this next season at The Lark.  Summer is over and I can’t wait to get cozy and settle in a new fall routine and try new wines.  I also couldn’t be more excited about all the events coming up.  Between 3 months of DJ AB, wine dinners, Halloween costume dress up dinner and our first ever stock up event, its going to be a fun season!

Cheers to a delicious month ahead,

May Graceffa
